You guys, I can’t even tell you how bad I want the new Apple iPhone 4s. Right now, I have an old-school RAZR, and I am beginning to wonder if I am the only person in the world still using this type of phone! Seriously, there have been many times I’ve been using my phone in public and a complete stranger will approach me and jokingly tell me that I need to upgrade.
It’s been a long time since I’ve really, REEEEEAAAAAALLY wanted something, and this I WANT!!

He’s such a good sport and playfully let me take pictures of him with a pair of sunglasses on. This kid is such a ham… he loves the camera, loves having his picture taken, and insists on looking at the pictures when we’re done. Sometimes he’ll even approach me first, asking “Pictures? Please?” in an attempt to get me to break out the camera and take some pictures. We are truly blessed to have such an awesome little boy with such a big personality!

Well, potty training is not advancing as quickly as I anticipated. Don’t get me wrong, Nathan loves sitting on his potty. WITH HIS DIAPER ON. The moment I take his diaper off, however, he starts crying and refuses to sit on his potty anymore. I don’t make a big deal out of it, because Nathan is so strong-willed that if I do, he will do the exact opposite of what I desire. So I just act like it’s no big deal. In reality, however, it’s a little frustrating.
I’ve been taking Nathan to his potty for about two months now. He gets really excited about going to the potty, but will only sit on the potty fully-clothed for a few seconds. And the last couple weeks or so, he’s started to act disinterested. He’s simply not ready yet. I am more than ready, but he’s not.
Surely he won’t be in diapers forever. Right??

The other day, I was busy in the kitchen making Nathan his lunch. I was in a hurry because everything was timed… I was cutting up his fruit and making my sandwich while I had some broccoli steaming on the stove. Nathan kept getting right under my feet, pulling at my shirt, trying to get me to stop and talk to him.
Nathan: “Ma! Mommy! Mom! Mommy! Mama! Ma! Mom! Mom! Mama! Mommy! Mommy! Ma! Ma! Ma! Mom! Mom! Mama! Mama! Mama! Mama! MAMA! MAMA! MOMMY! MOM! MOM!”
Me: “What, Nathan.”
Nathan: “I wove you!” (That’s how Nathan says “love.”)
Yes, my child has gotten into the annoying habit of saying Mommy, Ma, Mama, and Mom over and over again, trying to get my attention. It reminds me of that Family Guy clip. I don’t particularly care for that show, but the clip is hilarious.
