This is an amazing video … a cover of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep performed by a military band! Totally amazing performance!

Sometimes Nathan is hard to deal with. There are times when I KNOW for a FACT he understands what I’m saying, yet he pretends like he doesn’t. Why does he do that? To test his limits and see how much he can get away with? I’ve got my hands full with this one, I tell ya!

Nathan has a bad habit of reaching his greedy little hands up onto the kitchen counter, groping for whatever his little fingers can touch. Paul had been cutting limes (fortunately, we keep knives out-of-reach) and Nathan grabbed one of the lime slices and put it in his mouth.
“Mmmmm sour,” he said as he sucked on it. “Good sour.” Then he took the lime out of his mouth and put it back on the plate, apparently thinking what his parents don’t know won’t hurt!

“Nathan, does you dump truck belong on the kitchen counter?” I asked Nathan as he rolled his dump truck all along my freshly cleaned, pristine counter. I am now wary of him rolling his toys along surfaces where I put food after the pooping incident we had just the other day.
“No?” he said as he continued to roll his dump truck around.
“Take your dump truck off the counter, please,” I instructed him.
“No please?” he replied.
“Do you know what happens when you don’t mind Mommy?” I asked.
“Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig Twouble!” he said.
“That’s right. Big trouble.”
“Corner? Time out?”
“Yeah, you’ll get time out,” I replied.
And, much to my astonishment, Nathan marched himself over to the Time Out Corner and PUT HIMSELF IN TIME OUT!
“Corner!” he said proudly.
“Yes, yes you are in the corner, aren’t you?” I responded. “You put yourself in time-out because you didn’t mind. Thank you, Nathan.”
And you know, he kept himself in the corner for 30 seconds. Which, to a two-year-old, is Biiiiiiiiiig Twouble indeed.
