So Paul’s two-week vacation has come to an end… today is his first day back in the office. The past couple weeks have been busy with Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, New Year’s, etc., hence the slow posting on my part. But now? Now it’s all over and done with. Now I can get back to haranguingthe Interwebz to death with my stories of life with a 22-month old.

Speaking of which, I have another cute story to tell you guys.

Nathan loves when I laugh. I can be in the living room and he can be playing in his room. And then I laugh, and it seems as if the world is about to implode into a little green rubber ducky because suddenly, life is all dancing sunbeams and yellow smiley faces. At least, according to Nathan. Because every single time he hears me laugh, no matter where he is, he will stop what he’s doing and come running to me AT FULL SPEED, stomping his feet, clapping his hands, and laughing like ole St. Nick hopped up on Mellow Yellow and sugar cookies. Nathan will then plow right into me, laughing rambunctiously.

It’s really quite a sight. I never thought my laughter would be so laugh-inspiring. In fact, I used to not really like my laugh. I mean, it’s all right. It’s a laugh. Nothing fancy or irritating about it, just a normal ole laugh. But to Nathan? My laugh must be the signal of All Good Things To Come. And that’s ok, I can totally deal with that.
