  • That Txt Can W8

Texting while driving. Most of us have done it at least once. Many of us do it all the time. I admit, I am just as guilty as the next person. Yes, I have texted and driven before. Even though I very rarely texted while driving, the fact remains that I have done it. I thought that I had it all under control. But I watched a show on Oprah yesterday with information that totally changed my perspective.  The stories o...

  • It Has Begun!

Remember yesterday how I posted that the weather was forecasted to bring some dearly-missed snow to the state of Tennessee? (Click here to read about it). Well, guess what? IT HAS BEGUN. As of 7:00 this evening. So far, grassy surfaces have about an inch or so, and the snow has started laying on the roads. Totally cool. Well, unless you live up north.  Then you probably think it's really silly to get all e...
  • Life With a One Year Old

As of next week, my little baby will no longer be considered an infant. Now, it's life with a ONE YEAR OLD. And it can be really frustrating, I think mostly because Nathan has all these emotions and feelings but he has no way to communicate them. One minute, he's my sweet little guy... all smiles and dripping drool. The very next minute, he's like an animal... howling, screeching, pinching, smacking, and...
  • Yes, It Happened Yet Again...

It was simple. It was less messy. And Nathan really enjoyed it. So the whole reason we had to give him an actual bath was because Nathan (believe it or not!) actually SLEPT during his nap. He didn't keep himself awake by ...

Praying…

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved-ones of the thirty troops killed in Afghanistan when their chopper was shot down. The video near the bottom of the page is especially touching.

I guess by now most of us have heard the horrifying story about the lady who lost her face in a chimp attack. (I heard the story on Oprah.) Well, guess what? The victim, Charla Nash, has received a face transplant! The transplant seems to have taken hold and it looks like she will be able to smell and eat again, thanks to a dedicated team of doctors who worked on her for about twenty hours. Click here to read the story.

In addition to my last post about the little boy drowning and then coming back to life, I also found this amazing account of the incident. Some of you guys might find the photos disturbing, but just remember that the little boy lived. What a beautiful miracle! Please keep him and his family in your prayers as he continues his recovery.
