Oh the misery!
May 28th
I have been so sick the past few days! I’m having an allergy attack unlike anything I’ve had since I was a kid. No kidding. I haven’t suffered from allergies this severe in over a decade. My head is completely stopped up, my eyes are watering, my ears and back of my throat itch, I can’t stop sniffling and sneezing, and I’m coughing so hard that I’m gagging. Woe am I!! I’ve been through about four different allergy medications, none of which worked. I’m finally trying some Allegra-D… it seems to be helping so far. Let’s hope it keeps helping because I am completely miserable!
More weather woes

Please keep Memphis and the surrounding areas in your prayers as they all deal with massive flooding from the Mississippi River. This is the second catastrophe to hit in this area of the United States in a very short time. Just a barely over a week ago, the deadliest outbreak of tornadoes in U.S. history raged through the South, with a record 312 tornadoes (226 in a single day) that killed at least 342 people and displaced many more.
You guys. I’m starting to wonder if God is trying to tell us something.
At any rate, no matter where in the world you are right now as you are reading this, please keep my fellow Americans in your prayers. My heart is breaking to see so many people losing everything they have, sometimes including their own lives.
Keep the South in your prayers

Yesterday, as I’m sure most of you have heard on the news, the South was ravaged by terrible storms. We haven’t seen weather like this with this scale of damage in a long time… some of us have never seen it. Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, and every state that was hit with the terrible storms the past couple days are all in my prayers.
We made it out completely unscathed and fine. Our house has no damage, and neither do our cars. Some of my friends in the surrounding areas, on the other hand, did not fare so well. Many of their houses sustained severe damage to roofs and shutters, windows were broken out, they have flood damage, and their cars look like Swiss cheese from golf-ball sized hail. Please keep everyone in your prayers and if there is anything you can do to help my neighbors in the Southern states, like donate to the Red Cross, please don’t hesitate to do so.
On a Walk

And enjoying the beautiful Spring weather!
Ignore that random number you see there. Date-stamps do not work well with photo editing, and quite frankly I don’t feel like undertaking the tedious task of erasing it and repairing the photo. Unless there is some shortcut I am unaware of, I’d rather just leave a date there. Even if it’s partial.
Can you see my sunburn? I had taken Nathan to the park the previous day and silly me forgot to put sunscreen on us. I got sunburned. Nathan, on the other hand, tanned. I’m glad he doesn’t have my fair skin… I never tan! Never. I just burn and peel…
And oh! Since the above picture was taken, I’ve lost 5 pounds! I’ve been working out 4x a week for months now, but I wasn’t seeing the results I’ve been wanting to see. So I reviewed my diet, made a few modifications (such as eliminating my 1 or 2 soft drinks a day and drinking more water), kicked my workouts up a notch, and the weight is finally starting to come off. I’m super excited to get back down to my pre-pregnancy size… It’s been long enough, and I am going to work my butt off (yes, pun intended) until I get there.
