SNOW!
Jan 10th
As you guys know by now, we love the snow. We don’t really get that much here in Tennessee, so when the forecast calls for snow, everyone rushes out and buys up all the milk and bread (because you know death is imminent if you don’t.) And then we play in the snow. And that’s what we did today; we played in the snow. I’ll post some pictures in the next couple days or so.
In the meantime, remember a couple days ago when I took Nathan outside while it was flurrying? Well, here’s some really cute pictures to go along with that video.
There is white all over the place!
What’s this?
It’s everywhere! Even over there!
I must investigate
This is good. I like snow
As long as it doesn’t attack me!
Which I know it won’t. Therefore, snow is good!

Playing in the snow
Jan 6th
It was flurrying the other day and I took Nathan out to play in it… he thinks snow is pretty Neat. But then, he got distracted and kept wanting to go bye bye (in Nathan-speak, that means going for a car ride).
Nathan’s 2nd Christmas
Dec 29th
Finally!! I am posting Nathan’s Christmas pictures!
Christmas was great. Ok, make that really freakin’ adorable. When Nathan first came into the living room, he didn’t even notice the presents under the tree. But once he DID notice them, he made a beeline right for the Christmas tree, craning his neck as his arms waved ahead of him as if to summon the presents directly into his slobbery outstretched palms.
After he opened some of his presents, he played with them and was really enjoying this thing called Life when all of a sudden the Bad Mood Fairy came and pooped on everything. Nathan was having so much fun playing with the presents that he had already opened that he absolutely did not want to open any more. Paul and I would hand him a present only to have it slapped away with a dissatisfied grunt. He let us know that he needed to play with his newly opened toys for a while (as in, we had to delay the rest of Christmas!) before he would even think about opening any more. Which I would have never expected. I’ve always heard of kids ripping through all of their presents before playing with them. But Nathan’s already proven to us that he’s not like other kids… he makes up his own rules!
Toys!
Having a very important conversation with Ernie
Ooh! I wonder if I can get in there through osmosis?
Didn’t work. Maybe this book will teach me how to do it.
Andrew sez ozmosis worx evry time.
Paul was apparently too slow for Nathan, so Nathan decided to “help.”
Oh sweet, sweet success!
Can life get any better than Hot Wheels?
Why yes, it can. Just sit in a box and you will understand.
“Don’t worry, Daddy. I’ll help you get the toy out.”
Showing us how to REALLY rip open a present
He is quite pleased with his loot
Thanksgiving Day fun
Nov 29th
Paul and I both kicked that nasty stomach bug in the butt, y’all. I started feeling like myself again on Saturday, just as Paul came down with what I had… just in time for me to take over caring for Nathan so he could recuperate.
SO! Now that it’s all said and done, DAMN it feels good to feel good!
As for Nathan, I am praying that he doesn’t catch it. He’s feeling sick today with a fever of over 101, but he has no vomiting (yet)… Please keep your collective fingers crossed that he can fight off whatever bug he has because let me tell ya, a sick toddler ain’t a walk in the park.
And, as promised, here are the seriously cute pictures I took of Nathan on Thanksgiving. He was running around like a crazy little rodent, so snapping the pics was a bit difficult, to say the least. But hey, he enjoyed himself! (You should be able to hold your mouse over the pictures to read the captions.)
