Sick lil guy… again
Jun 18th
Kids just stay sick, don’t they?
Nathan’s been feeling a little under the weather for the past couple of days. Yesterday, he threw up a couple times (which is the first time in his young life he’s ever actually vomited) and has lost his appetite. He doesn’t have a lot of energy like he normally has, so Paul and I have been giving him extra hugs, kisses, and attention. See, we ate fast food a couple days ago (which we don’t do often because it’s so unhealthy) and yesterday, Paul and I felt nauseous and Nathan threw up. So Nathan either got sick from the food or he’s picked up a bug.
I hate seeing him sick. I just want to make him feel all better… seeing him being so pitiful breaks my heart!
I have not forgotten…

… it has taken me a lot longer than I anticipated to edit all the camping photos and videos. I’ve finally finished all the photo/video editing, and now I am just about done writing the (really long!) post so it should be up within the next couple of days. Don’t ya HATE when people do that? When they tell you about something, and you’re totally looking forward to it, and it takes FOREVER?
Yes. I am that person. My apologies and the post will be up soon!
Oh the misery!

I have been so sick the past few days! I’m having an allergy attack unlike anything I’ve had since I was a kid. No kidding. I haven’t suffered from allergies this severe in over a decade. My head is completely stopped up, my eyes are watering, my ears and back of my throat itch, I can’t stop sniffling and sneezing, and I’m coughing so hard that I’m gagging. Woe am I!! I’ve been through about four different allergy medications, none of which worked. I’m finally trying some Allegra-D… it seems to be helping so far. Let’s hope it keeps helping because I am completely miserable!
The sick germs are here…

Well we have had a very sick little boy on our hands. Yesterday evening was the worst. Little guy was breathing fast and had a fever of 103 along with lethargy and possible body aches (it’s hard to tell since he can’t talk, but he was rubbing his knees and joints as if they were hurting.) We packed up his diaper bag and were about to take him to the hospital when he perked up a little bit (the medicine we gave him kicked in) and he started acting more normal. We took him outside and let him play where he ran around and chattered with his toys. Afterwards, he got a tepid bath, which brought the fever down some more. And of course, we were vigilant during the night because panting and breathing fast can wear a young child down really quickly, and they can go into respiratory distress in a very short time.
Fortunately, he is feeling much better today. He still has a fever, but he’s eating better and has some of his energy back. Please keep the little guy in your prayers… as you all know, it’s so hard to watch your child be in pain. He’s such a trooper, though. Throughout all this, and even when he was hurting so bad all he could do was lay in my lap and say “hurt… hurt,” he was still his sweet little self. He held my hand, gave me kisses, and told me he loved me. What a precious little boy he is. We are truly blessed to have him.
