Who says you can’t eat a ball?

Yesterday, Nathan had some sweet peas for lunch. When I handed him the bowl, he peered inside and said, “A ball! A ball!” and delicately plucked out a pea with his thumb and index finger. And then? He popped that pea in his mouth and said, “Mmmmmmm. Good ball.”
To all the dads out there…

I hope all the dads out there had a wonderful Father’s Day! Ours was great. Nathan had been sick again with a bit of stomach bug, but he was all better yesterday. We had a great brunch with Paul’s parents and grandparents and it was delicious! It feels so good to be a parent… I remember always wanting to have a baby and now that I have one, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! (I’m sure all us parents feel that way, right?) So anyway, happy belated Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Love your kids with all the love you have and take the time to enjoy the little things. Kids don’t stay little for long!
Sick lil guy… again

Kids just stay sick, don’t they?
Nathan’s been feeling a little under the weather for the past couple of days. Yesterday, he threw up a couple times (which is the first time in his young life he’s ever actually vomited) and has lost his appetite. He doesn’t have a lot of energy like he normally has, so Paul and I have been giving him extra hugs, kisses, and attention. See, we ate fast food a couple days ago (which we don’t do often because it’s so unhealthy) and yesterday, Paul and I felt nauseous and Nathan threw up. So Nathan either got sick from the food or he’s picked up a bug.
I hate seeing him sick. I just want to make him feel all better… seeing him being so pitiful breaks my heart!
