Weekend wedding

One of my dear friends got married this weekend! It was a lovely outdoor wedding, and thankfully, it didn’t rain too hard… unlike what my fellow Tennesseans to the west are experiencing right now with the crazy flooding in Nashville. My friend wore a wedding gown that her grandmother sewed and wore to her own wedding, then passed it down to her daughter (my friend’s mom) and then my friend. Pretty neat. I did a different type of editing on some of the pictures I took. I didn’t want them to look like everyone else’s, so I went for a glowy, dreamlike look to give the pictures some individuality and softness.

  1. I like the softness you created in the photographs. Your friend is so lucky…that was my dream to have had a wedding gown handed down to me through the generations. I bought my gown, and it was pretty, but I love tradtions. I hope she will have a daughter and hand it down some day.

    • I also hope she has a daughter that she can pass her gown on to! She loved her dress and was so happy to have the opportunity to wear it at her own wedding. I hope the tradition can continue!
