Don’t Eat the Slide!

We love Spring in East Tennessee. The weather is gorgeous, the temperature is comfortable, and it’s revitalizing to get out and do things after being cooped up during the winter. So Paul, Nathan, and I took a drive, found some cool spots to explore, and managed to get some pictures in the process.

We didn’t have anyone to take pictures of the three of us, unfortunately. Nathan isn’t interested in the camera at all unless someone’s face is right beside it, so in every single picture, he’s looking away.

Or he was trying to take off our sunglasses. He’s like the human version of Curious George; always into everything, always exploring his surroundings, and always touching and drooling on everything those little hands can pick up. Including our sunglasses.

Imagine my horror when, at the very moment I snapped this picture, Nathan leaned over and put his mouth on the slide. I was all like, NATHAN! DON’T EAT THE SLIDE! And Nathan was all, But it’s germy and grimy and I MUST TOTALLY CONSUME IT.

Besides spending awesome time with my husband and son and thwarting Nathan’s attempt at total playground consumption, you wanna know what the next best part of the day was?

THERE WAS NO POOPING. Not while we were out and about, anyway. It’s a very nice day indeed when you don’t have to clean a poop diaper in pubic.

    • Thank you! Hopefully next time, we’ll be able to get a picture of the three of us with Nathan actually looking at the camera!
