I think it should be completely banned in all states... especially since the general mentality (especially with teens) is one of apathy. I can't believe that anyone could watch that video and just blithely say that they would continue to text while driving. IMO, people like that deserve no leniency when they get into an accident. They are knowingly, KNOWINGLY putting other people's lives at risk! And they don't care?? Ugh, that's really makes me mad!

The UK PSA video IS graphical. I heard on NPR when they interviewed a bunch of teenagers. A couple of them still said they would continue to TXT while driving AFTER they watched the video! And there is this teen girl who has got in 2 car accidents and she said she couldn't quit! Huh? It is completely banned in the state of Illinois. You can't even look at your phone at red light unless the gear is on park. Hopefully this will help people curb the urge.

That video is heartwrenching, but unfortunately, that's what texting while driving can do. Thanks for sharing. Texting or talking on one's cell phone while driving is a deadly combination, but too many people don't see it as such just yet. I only hope my post reaches someone out there, changes someone's mind before it's too late. It's just not worth it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing more attention to this problem. This PSA made in Britain made a huge impression on my daughter and me(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pubTiDCEVZ8&feature=related). Warning: it's very graphic. Parts of it were featured on the Today show and one of the emergency response reps said that this video barely touches the horror he sees every time he arrives on the scene of a car accident. It changed my views of phone use while driving forever.
