Me, Nathan, and Paul when we first got to Paul’s grandparents’ house for some delicious food followed by some egg-hunting… all following a beautiful Easter service at our church. Of course, it can sometimes be incredibly difficult to convince a three-year-old to sit still for a picture, but we were finally able to get a More >

So the last post I wrote talked about my grandmother on my dad’s side being in a coma after a massive stroke. She is still in a terminal state and there has been a steady decline since my last post. She is a very strong woman, however, and is still hanging in there. My mom More >

I’m so glad spring is here!! It’s been a warmer-than-normal winter here in Tennessee, so everything is blooming earlier. Which I like. Because I like spring. I can’t believe my little boy has grown so much… sometimes it seems like such a long, long time ago that he was a little baby. Other times it seems like just yesterday. I wonder how it will feel in ten years. Or twenty. Or thirty. I know I’m really going to miss him being little More >

Nathan loves learning how to read. He doesn’t know how to read per se, but he recognizes many words by sight. He knows the alphabet, uppercase and lowercase, so we are working on what each letter sounds like and which words start with that letter. When we learn about the letter “B,” for example, I’ll More >
